Daniels Summit Lodge

When you stay at Daniels Summit Lodge you really get the best of city life and that mountain getaway feeling. They have rooms in the lodge, family suite cabins and even a fully furnished mountain home that you can rent for larger family gatherings.  We absolutely loved the log cabin mood at the lodge.  Each guestroom has a gas fireplace, too, which just adds to the ambiance of the lodge. Our kids all wanted to sleep on the floor in front of the fire. 

There's a restaurant on site cooking up delicious things all day long.  We took the kids for breakfast and loved the boysenberry syrup on the pancakes and waffles.  There's also a game room stocked with all kinds of games to play. 

And, of course, an indoor heated pool.  No matter where we go the first question our kids ask is, "can we swim?"  We spent hours in this pool. 

What to do:

RZR Tour:

Right at Daniel Summit Lodge you can rent a 4 seater RZR, a 2 seater, or snowmobiles.  They have an enormous fleet of machines available for both guided and self guided tours.

We had so much fun cruising around on these for the afternoon.  The views really can't be beat.  They also have packages at Daniels Summit Lodge for a room and a rental for a really unforgettable experience. 

Where to Eat:

Heber City Bagels:

Before we headed out on our RZR ride we got these yummy bagels and shmears from Heber City Bagels.  They have super fun kid friendly flavors like Booberry bagels with birthday cake and sprinkles shmear. We also got a few savory ones to round things out.  We loved this meal!

Quench It Soda Shack:

Another favorite snack spot is Quench it right on Main street.

We loved the fun local drink flavors like the Midway Mojito, Mountain Meach, and The Quencher.  They have both Pepsi and Coke products too which we know is important! We can't wait to go back and get some of their specialty hot chocolates too, Melted Smores, The Whipper and the Crème Brulee ones sound amazing.

Lola's Street Kitchen:

But if your looking for a square meal you've got to stop by the Lola's Food Truck! 

You can find their schedule by following along on their mouth watering Instagram account but most days you can find them parked in the Lee's parking lot. 

Seriously, everything is good.  The Garlic French Fries with their signature Fry Sauce, Sweet French Steak Salad with big chunks of caramelized onions, Ham and Fried Egg Melt. We could go on and on.  Just trust us on this one.  If you see Lola's parked somewhere stop and eat!!
